Firefox doesn’t have HP Client Security Manager plugin Windows 7

In Windows 7 with HP Client Security program installed you will get a popup from the system tray from time to time advising you that Firefox needs a plugin enabled so as to integrate your password management with windows.

Clicking the popup brings up the HP Client Security program options under HOME > Password Manager > Browser Integration

Their instructions for Firefox indicate that you can simply open the FF addon page and enable the HP Client Security plugin. But….that plugin was nowhere to be found on my system nor in the FF addon library.

You might be able to find the plugin somewhere if you look hard enough (I did a quick search and the initial results were less than helpful).

That being said, if you don’t care about integration and simply want to turn off the notifications, then uncheck the blue checkbox under the Firefox section of this page.

NOTE: If you have Windows 10 then your options are different. Some people have had luck following instructions located here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Commercial-PC-Software/HP-Client-Security-keeps-nagging-me-to-install-a-Firefox/td-p/5945235

Use at your own risk.
