There are probably a couple issues which could cause your machine to not want to staple or do other Finishing operations, but the first thing you should check is the Configuration of the Driver for the printer on whatever workstation or Server it’s being shared from or is installed on.Â
- Start–>Printers & Faxes
- Right-click the printer and select Properties
- Select the Configuration tab
- Look for Output Tray Options and select what kind of Finisher it has.Â
- Click OK
- Try to print the document again.
Thanks
Thanks, first result on google
First result here as well, fixed my problem right up. Little different for me: Devices and Printers >> Right click on printer >> Printer Properties >> Configure tab >> Device Options section.
Adjust some of the finisher options, and user was able to staple no problem.
Ugh! Thank you so much!
For me Canon iR-ADV C5255 with latest PCL and PS drivers on file server. Right-clicked each printer -> Printer Properties -> Device Settings tab -> Output Option: Booklet Finisher-J1 selected. Now saddle stitch options are available. Thks!
