We all can appreciate the need for organizations to have a network free from hiccups and stalling when you rely on that network to conduct business.  And no one understands the need for critical operations more so than the United States Military.  In the wake of the tragic earthquake/tsunami in Japan,  the US Military has decided that official business trumps solider’s  god-given right to post videos of themselves dancing with cats in camopants.  The authorities have developed a list of 13 websites which they consider to be bandwidth “hogs”.  They say that the list may not be complete yet, but here it is in all it’s hog glory:

  1. ESPN
  2. Amazon.com
  3. YouTube
  4. Google Video
  5. Ebay
  6. Doubleclick
  7. Eyewonder
  8. Pandora
  9. StreamTheWorld
  10. MTV
  11. iFilm
  12. Myspace
  13. Metacafe
