Hall Research HR-4P user-programmable serial controller almost ready for prime time

A source of mine tells me that Hall Research is working on a new product.

It is a user-programmable serial controller with 4 user-defined i/o lines and IR learn/playback capability.

Quick Facts:

  • 4 I/O s
  • A serial port
  • You tell it what kind of an input or output each of the 4 lines are, and set conditions for each one to spit out a pre-programmed string, or toggle an output, etc
  • Additionally, it will learn IR codes and store them in the unit. So, you can tell it to spit those out if a line is toggled, or talk to it directly through the serial, to spit out codes…

It’s replacing the HR-1p: http://hallresearch.com/page/Products/HR-1P
