Computer not saving MDW path

If you are using an older Access database that uses an MDW for security then you might notice that sometimes you goto login and instead it opens the db with Admin access instead of prompting you for your credentials.

This can be corrected one of two ways (or both if you’re feelin really crazy).

1.  Use the /wrkgrp switch when opening the Access database

2. Update the Registry path to always go to the mdw of your choice. For Access 97: Located in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Access\Jet\3.5\Engines For Access 2000: Located in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Access\Jet\4.0\Engines
