Interacting with beremote.exe producing errors in event viewer of sqlvdi.
5/7/08 – To contact Microsoft TechNet to open a support incident: 800-344-2121 option 5, option 2. Give them your TechNet Subscriber ID which is found in the Benefits Admin section on your License Info screen in eOpen website.
Opened Case File: SRX080507600739 to obtain package that addresses KB934396 (the one I needed) and KB935679. Already installed larger rollup that addresses 934396 as part of the package, but that did not work for me and Internet research indicated that the smaller update would work if the other did not. Applied to SQL Server and will restart server and monitor for more SQLVDI errors. FYI: Main MS # is 800-936-5800 and select option 2 if it’s a SQL question.
5/8/08 – Resolved SQLVDI error, but new error came up. could not apply the Visual Studio 2005 SP1. Applied hotfix and rebooted. SP1 installed successfully, no reboot.
