Mapped network drives can become disconnected sometimes due to inactivity timeouts. Microsoft provides an auto FIX for this for Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003 and more systems: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297684

Open Firewall Ports for Microsoft Silverlight

The interwebs said that TCP 943 had to be opened, but other documentation I saw said that Silverlight could use HTTP to stream. HTTP is normally port 80, but for some sites you may have to open port 8080 because that’s the way they are setup. Note: This was tested with Silverlight version 4.0.51204.0
